Treasure Hunt - Players earn reputation by collecting all 15 gems that have been hidden at specific locations shown on the minimap.Players will earn the maximum amount of reputation if all four players cross the finish line. Team Escape - Players earn more reputation depending on how many players cross the finish line and how many team power-ups are used.Players will only earn a small amount of bounty if they're busted. Pursuit Outrun - Players earn more reputation based upon the total amount of disabled police vehicles, cost to state, pursuit length and infractions when they evade.Circuit, Sprint & Drag - Players earn more reputation by completing the race in a high finishing position and successful use of power-ups.The amount of reputation a player earns differs depending on the specifics of each event type. Players can earn reputation by completing Circuit, Drag, Sprint, Pursuit Outrun, Team Escape and Treasure Hunt events. A player will increase their Driver Level by earning a certain amount of reputation. The amount of reputation a player has is indicated by a large blue bar along the top of their screen. Reputation - also known as Rep - is the amount of experience a player has earned in Need for Speed: World. Police chases are only possible by joining Pursuit Outrun events. Police vehicles were removed from free roam on November 16th, 2011 resulting in players no longer being able to initiate pursuits by ramming police vehicles. Players can see other players driving around in free roam but are unable to collide with them in any manner. Players are allowed to drive around both Palmont City and Rockport within free roam. Players are offered a Lucky Draw Card Pack after completing an event or finishing a police pursuit. Player's progress is measured by their current Driver Level with a cap upon reaching level 60. Players progress through the game by participating in race events and engaging in police pursuits. The location is a mixture of Rockport from Need for Speed: Most Wanted and Palmont City from Need for Speed: Carbon. Unfortunately, like Heat and Rivals, Payback lacks any sort of offline multiplayer mode.Need for Speed: World is set within the fictional Tri-City. In both Payback’s offline and online modes, you can explore Fortune Valley and gain experience points through various events and races. Payback-like NFS Heat and NFS Rivals-boasts an online multiplayer mode, allowing you to play against other racers in both casual and ranked races. You can play as one of three characters as you seek revenge against The House, the ruling criminal syndicate of Fortune Valley’s underworld. Unlike Payback’s predecessors or Need For Speed Heat, Payback also features an expansive storyline. The list includes a variety of vehicles like the Plymouth Barracuda, Volkswagen Golf GTI, SRT Viper, and many more. You can also collect various cars from an extensive list of over 50 kinds of motor vehicles. Like most games in the series, Payback focuses on competing in races or completing related challenges to win materials and upgrade your ride. It doesn’t stray too far from the premise set by its predecessors but does add its own flavor to the experience. Need for Speed Payback was released in 2017 on PS4 and Steam as the NFS series’ 23rd mainline game. Need for Speed’s most exceptional feature is the implementation of police chases. Its premise is built around participating in illicit street races, unlike the Gran Turismo or Forza Horizon series. The Need for Speed series is unique among racing games. The Need for Speed series is published by Electronic Arts (or EA) and designed by many developers throughout Need for Speed’s 20+ mainline games.
